SMC Mold

SMC (Sheet Molding Compound) mold is a type of mold used in the manufacturing of composite materials. SMC is a composite material made of a thermosetting resin, chopped glass fibers, and other additives. SMC is often used in the manufacturing of automotive parts, such as hoods, fenders, and body panels. SMC molds are made of high-quality steel and are designed to withstand the high pressures and temperatures required for the SMC molding process. The mold is typically made up of two halves, which are clamped together and filled with the SMC material. The SMC material is then heated and cured under high pressure, resulting in a strong and durable composite part. SMC molds are often used in mass production due to their ability to produce complex shapes and their high production efficiency. The use of SMC molds in automotive manufacturing has also led to reduced weight, improved fuel efficiency, and reduced emissions in vehicles.

DERCO adopted international advanced system - CAD/CAM/CAE in mould design and injection molding. We use professional software such as UG, Pro-E, Solidworks, IDEAS, CATIA, and so on.

We also can design mould according to customer's requirement, such as DME, HASCO standard. After the final approval on the mould by customer, we will pack the mould with standard exporting package to avoid any damage during the long distance delivery by sea or by air. And the necessary documentation and certification, and some spare parts will go with the mould. We also can provide the electrodes for the mould if customers request specially.
